The evening with Ravi will include a talk on WORLD MUSIC, OPENING THE VOICE, TIBETAN BOWLS and also including an introduction to Overtone Singing (in which the singer sings two or more notes at the same time) plus his inspiring original songs and singing together of mantras from around the world.
Ravi was described by Songlines Magazine as "a walking testament to the success of multicuturalism" and performs with kora (West African harp), guitar and overtone singing.
Since 1985 Ravi has released over 20 CDs, given concerts and led workshops internationaly, created the unique electric/ stereo kora, worked with luminaries such as Baaba Maal, Nigel Kennedy & Jon Lord (DEEP PURPLE) and Phil Manzanera (ROXY MUSIC) and created pioneering projects such as "Neuneneu" with Brazilian legend Marlui Miranda, that brought Amazon Indians on a tour of Europe.
An evening with Ravi includes his inspiring original songs, mantras from around the world, lots of singing together and an introduction to Overtone Singing.
RAVI has many years of experience as a pioneer of WORLD MUSIC to offer including stories and more.
